What wig can you wear if you have cancer?
When you've just been diagnosed with cancer, you usually have a lot of other things to think and worry about. That's why we want to be there for you so that you don't have to worry about what to do about losing your hair after chemotherapy. We've spent years developing just one wig to suit everyone, whether you have hair or not. Not just because we love being able to change your hair, but to shift the stigma around wig wearing. There should be no difference between a healthy woman and a sick woman, unless you want to tell people that you are sick.

Can I wear a BHBD wig if I have lost my hair due to chemotherapy?

Yes, anyone regardless of their starting point can wear our wigs. No hair at all or multiple extension packages - everyone can! The advantage of our frame is that it is made of Full Swiss Lace, which means that you avoid all silicone and the like that can feel uncomfortable when you're already sore after chemotherapy. Swiss Lace is the thinnest lace available with the thinnest thread + largest hole, which in turn gives an airy and natural result. Terment Full Swiss Lace confirms that the entire frame is made of Swiss Lace.
The wig fits properly thanks to the fact that you get sturdy straps in 3 different sizes - S, M & L. This allows you to adjust it to size. Inside the frame, we have also attached an adjustable surface that molds to your head. Our frames also come in different sizes in circumference, 53 cm & 57.5 cm.

I have received a requisition from my county council, does it work with you?

With the help of your county council and region, you can get a requisition confirming that you are entitled to a reimbursement for a certain part of the cost of the wig. Can I buy a wig before I lose all my hair?

Yes, you are welcome to come in for a consultation with us to try out what color and size you feel most comfortable in so you can feel that you can let go of that particular problem before you have lost your hair. Then you can focus on other things that are important to you. We will also help you if you want to shave off your hair and if you want to get your wig cut by us or by some of our BHBD friends.
