During BHBD Foundation’s latest giveaway day, women affected by hair loss gathered not just to receive wigs, but to reclaim confidence and connection.
“My name is Anja Stjärndal, and I’m 40 years old. My alopecia started 16 years ago. Getting a wig felt unreal. I was nervous, wondering if I’d still feel like myself. But it was incredible – these wigs are magical. I’ve got my identity back.”
Miriam, recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, shared her story:
“Losing your hair is losing part of your personality. It’s how we express ourselves. It’s hard – but you’re stronger than you think.”
And for Emelie, who lost all her hair in just four days, the experience became a turning point:
“People say it’s just hair, but it’s so much more. Being able to feel like myself again means everything.”
