BHBD Reapplication Board
Here is our guide for optimal use of the BHBD Reinstallation Board. We strongly recommend always using this tool to make reinstallations as time-efficient and professional as possible.
Benefits:
- Time-efficient
- Ensures precise placement of where the attachment should be positioned during reinstallation
- Preserves the length of the extensions
- Maintains color combinations
- Creates a professional impression for your client
Tools you need for reinstallation: BHBD Standard Tape, clips, a tail comb, and remover.
REINSTALLATION USING THE REINSTALLATION BOARD
When you need to tone the extensions or color your client’s hair.
STEP BY STEP
- Make sure your client arrives with freshly washed hair—washed twice with a deep cleansing shampoo and no additional products.
- Start by removing the top row and then work your way down.
- Apply remover generously close to / between the attachments.
- Remove all tape from the attachment immediately.
- Use a damp towel to assist.
- Apply new tape and then attach the cleaned extensions onto the board.
- Follow each row and placement exactly as the extensions were positioned in the client’s hair and secure them to the board using clips.
- You can now tone the extensions if needed before reinstalling them on your client.
- Wash the client’s hair thoroughly, at least twice with a deep cleansing shampoo, for example BHBD Spray Shampoo.
- Section the client’s hair and then it’s time to reinstall the extensions.
- Since the installation starts from the bottom, you now have the first row easily accessible to begin with.
TIPS N’ TRICKS
Clean the attachments immediately
The remover reactivates the tape, and if you press the attachments together to clean them later, it becomes more difficult to remove the tape and you will need to use more remover.
Use a damp towel to remove tape residue
Wet a section of a towel and use it to help remove tape and residue. The damp towel makes it easier to “wipe over” the attachment. Always be very gentle with the attachments to extend their lifespan.
Always ask your client to arrive with freshly washed hair
Grease, oil, sweat, dirt, and product residue make it harder to remove tape attachments. Therefore, it is very important that your client arrives with clean hair and follows all recommended aftercare instructions.
